​As of August 24, 2015, our paper on smart material for oil-​water separation ranked the first in citations (from Web of Science) among all original research articles (exclusive of review articles) ever published by NPG Asia Materials.​​​​​​ It would rank the 5th among all publications (inclusive of review articles) by NPG Asia Materials​. NPG Asia Materials is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal focusing on materials science. It was established in 2009 and is published by the Nature Publishing Group.​ The journal enjoys an impact factor of 10.1 in 2014.​
